Essex on the right. Note they are both on bases of the same thickness. MW Dark ages infantry on the left. Essex Ancient british on the right.       So the Essex Ancient British are shorter but Essex Sassanids aretaller. Quite compatible accross the ranges in my opinion. Painted Essex miniatures in the center and left. Miniature Wars Sassanids on the right.   The armour on the MW mounts makes them seem larger. The height is very close. The MW clibanari and the cavalry on the right are bigger overall then their Essex counterparts. The Horse archer to the far right is quite close in size.
